Where we started
Gretis India Private Limited started as an outsourced HR and payroll services firm in 1997, 29 Years of HR — monthly payroll processing, statutory compliance, employee documentation, and the thousand small things that fall between “HR software” and “actually handled.”
We were good at it. But we kept running into the same problem: the tools our clients were using weren't built for how Indian businesses actually work. Generic SaaS HRMS products missed local compliance nuances. Custom ERP implementations required expensive consultants and left companies dependent on whoever set it up. Mobile apps were either clunky, lacked features or didn't exist at all.
So we built our own.
Now
Where we are now
Today, We operate at the intersection of HR outsourcing and technology — and that intersection is the whole point.
We manage ERP and HRMS infrastructure for client organizations, provide them with the our own mobile app connected to their instance, and run their HR and payroll operations through the same team. One company, one contract, one point of contact.
On the technology side, we've expanded into full-service IT: web development, software development, branding, SEO, social media, and mobile app development for businesses that need a trusted technical partner without the overhead of an in-house team.
We're a small team with strong opinions about how this should be done — and we'd rather be honest with a client about what they need than sell them something they don't.

Where we're going
The Gretis product suite is growing. We're building proprietary software — including tools for HR automation, recruitment, and business operations — that we'll eventually offer as standalone products. Our goal is to be the end-to-end technology and operations partner for growing Indian businesses: the company that replaces five vendors with one.

The team
Gretis is based in India and works with clients across the country — and recently internationally too. The team spans HR professionals who've been running payroll operations for decades, developers who build and maintain the ERP infrastructure and mobile apps, and designers and operators who handle everything from client onboarding to product work.
The HR side of the business has been running since 1997. The technology side grew out of it — not the other way around. That order matters: the software we build is shaped by people who've spent years doing the actual HR and payroll work, not by engineers guessing at what compliance looks like.
